It’s no secret that the past two years have been challenging for our kids, parents, and schools. Dan knows that every parent needs to have a voice in their child’s education. That’s why he passed legislation that empowers parents with more information about what is being taught in school, and expanded education options for families. Dan will continue to push for policies that put our kids first.
Supporting Our Schools
Making sure students and teachers have the resources they need is critical to a successful education. That’s why Dan voted to increase funding for public schools in the last budget, putting more money directly into the classroom.
Career Training Opportunities
Expanding access to Youth Apprenticeship programs gives students the chance to go to school and work part time with local employers, giving them valuable on the job training. Dan will continue to support initiatives that give our future leaders the skills necessary to succeed in the workforce.
When it comes to higher education, Dan supported the UW tuition freeze which has been in place for almost six years. Keeping college affordable for Wisconsin students and families helps create a strong and qualified workforce across the state.
